In 1983, when 24-year-old Patricia Clarke found out she was pregnant, she had more than just a feeling that her unborn child would be quite large.
She knew that having big families ran in her lineage since she had already given birth to one. However, the actual size of the baby she was carrying took her completely by surprise.
Patricia welcomed Kevin Robert Clark into the world, and he weighed in at over 16 pounds—an exceptionally large baby. At that time, he was the biggest infant ever born at Community Memorial Hospital and possibly in all of New Jersey.
His parents were grateful to discover that Kevin was perfectly healthy, even though he couldn’t fit into a standard crib and his baby clothes were too tight.
As one might expect, his size was immediately noticeable. His fame grew rapidly after he appeared on shows like “Saturday Night Live” and “Good Morning America,” among others.
Start by being a positive role model.
Sadly, Kevin wasn’t quite done stealing the spotlight. At the age of 12, he measured 5 feet 7 inches tall, as reported by the New York Post.
When he entered junior high, he had already reached a height of 6 feet 5 inches. His growth didn’t stop there.
“Every single day, someone asks me about my height,” Kevin shared with the Post.
“I like to joke that I’m 5-foot-21. When people inquire if I play basketball, I respond by asking if they play miniature golf.”
Now, Tom is 40 years old. He shares his home with his 6-foot-tall wife and their Great Dane; he is a veteran.
Being taller than most people is something he has simply adapted to. In fact, he showcases this with his impressive stride. Tom was recently measured at 6 feet 9 inches tall.

Stepping into the limelight from the moment you were born and having people gaze at you and inquire about your life during your childhood must be quite tough.
