Mother asks internet for help after finding mysterious piles of ‘brown bits’ in daughter’s bedroom

The internet has the potential for positive use, whether you believe it or not.

For instance, let’s consider Kelli Tarin. She encountered a possible pest problem and sought assistance on Facebook. As a mother of three, she received numerous comments on her situation, with some offering help and others simply wanting to stay informed.

Finally, she discovered the solution, but not without sharing a hearty chuckle beforehand. Continue reading to discover the secret behind the pile.

In August 2023, Tarin reached out to the Homemaking Tips Facebook group seeking assistance from other members. She had just moved with her family to a rental home in west Texas and was dealing with a pest issue that led her to contact the landlord and multiple pest control companies regularly.

“Anyone know what this could be? I have found two piles of these. Only in my daughters room. I clean it almost every day. This Is something that happened QUICK,” she wrote alongside a photo of a pile of what she described as looking like “coffee grounds.”

Many people tried to solve her problem after her post received a lot of attention.

“Put a camera up and see how it’s getting there,” one person suggested.

“I can’t really tell but I’m being so honest if there little ‘flying ants’ their a type of termites. I had them in my first house as an ‘adult’ and they would pop up and I’d vacuum them, and then they’d pop right back up,” someone else offered.

As more and more people shared their thoughts, one person simply mentioned it could be “rat poop” While others kept suggesting different ideas, Tarin decided to update her initial post.

For now, she refused to let her daughter sleep in her bedroom, she mentioned.

“We called TWO pest control companies yesterday. Literally BOTH of them said they have never seen anything like this. Ever,” she wrote. “If it were terminates, they said the droppings or whatever they leave behind is completely different. What’s left behind is literally crunchy. Almost seed like. It’s very strange.”

Tarin considered bats, roaches, and mice as potential pests, but she ruled them out one by one. While she found the idea of mice causing the issue plausible, she was certain that the brown bits were not mouse droppings.

Despite having pest control and her landlord visit her property, it wasn’t until she came across a comment on her Facebook post that she started to question things more attentively.

“I red [sic] a comment from someone that said they kids lavender bear busted opened and this was inside. Sure enough, when I picked up toys from here, there was a lavender blush [sic] bear in the pile.”

Tarin grabbed the bear and promptly tossed it aside, thinking it was something else. “infested.”

But her curiosity got the better of her and she decided to take another glance at the bear. The stuffed toy had a tear in it.

“I poured out the contents and these beads were inside!!!😂😂I have laughed for 30 mins. Imagine my relief.🫠☠️

Wow! What an incredible story!
